This collection of vases titled “Flaws” was designed by Marie Liebhardt and is a homage to the deterioration of cities and their streets, bridges and facades. These examples of passing time have been included into the Copenhagen-based product designer’s series of carefully handcrafted goods.
Every single piece of the colored porcelain vases is unique because of its texture. Some of the vases are paired with either a copper or brass hoop. The form was kept quite simple in order to highlight the elaborate texture and the irregularities.
“Based on experimental material researches, it aims to highlight those textures we pass every day without paying attention to.” describes Marie.
The young designer Liebhardt was born in France and after graduating 2012 from the “Ecole Boulle” in Paris and the “Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts” in Copenhagen this year, she has stayed in the capital city of Denmark to start her business.
