Portuguese Pedro de Passos is interested in architectural rigorousness which encounters us in our everyday life. Hidden corners or road markings are often his motifs but he also captures the interaction of light and shadows which merging into light sculptures.
The Oporto-based photographer started to photograph with his grandfather’s camera and studied later on visual arts – photography at ESAP (Escola Superior Artística do Porto). His passion for architectural straightforwardness comes from his architectural studies also at the ESAP.
In addition to his geometrical images, he shoots soft and pure portraits of young people in front of monochrome backgrounds.
